Restrictions Ease for Regional Victoria!

It was welcomed news on Wednesday from our Premier that the lockdown restrictions in regional Victoria would be eased today. Regional Victorian residents can now travel to other parts of the state (as a household) and stay overnight. This is welcomed news for our Holiday Accommodation department who has already started booking our holiday homes for this weekend and the September School holidays to people from Ballarat, Bendigo and beyond. From a sales/permanent rental perspective, we can now have a maximum of 10 people at open homes and auctions which allows us to get on with the business of selling and leasing homes. Unfortunately for our hospitality business’ in town the 10 person (inside) and 20 person (outside) limit is very restraining but I know all are providing great service in extended outdoor dining, takeaway and indoor bookings. If you’re from regional Victoria we look forward to welcoming you here over the coming weeks.

We feel for all of our friends in Melbourne as lockdown continues. It’s encouraging to see the rise in vaccination numbers across the state which is providing some light at the end of the tunnel as we get closer to 70% and 80% vaccination rates. We can’t wait to see our Metro friends back in Anglesea soon.
