The 60th Bells Beach Rip Curl Pro is on again this Easter. The contest is the longest running surf event in competitive surfing and is an iconic stop of the World Surf League Championship Tour.
The surf forecast isn’t looking too good, however Bells has a tendency to produce plenty of waves at this time of the year so who knows what nature will serve up. Whilst we are talking about surfing, Aireys Inlet’s own Belle Day was this week awarded a 2023 Gail Couper and Wayne Lynch Surf Coast Rising Star surfing award. Belle is the third generation of the Day family to surf in our area, with her grandfather and great uncle regular surfers around our locals as well as her father Will.
